Stephen John Solicitor

FOUNDER OF STEPHEN JOHN LAWYERS

Stephen John is the founder of Stephen John Lawyers, where he has distinguished himself as a premier migration lawyer. Throughout his career, he has successfully represented clients across all levels of Australian authorities and courts, including the Department of Home Affairs, the Administrative Review Tribunal (ART), the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia, the Federal Court of Australia, and the High Court of Australia. Highly regarded by the community, Stephen is widely recognized for securing victories in highly complex cases before the ART and the Federal Court—bringing renewed hope and confidence to clients even when all options seemed exhausted.

This exceptional track record is built upon a solid academic foundation. Stephen earned his Bachelor of Arts (2001), Bachelor of Laws (2004), and Master of Political Science (2006) from the University of Punjab, Pakistan. He then expanded his legal expertise in Australia, obtaining a Postgraduate Diploma in Law from the University of Sydney (2010) and a Juris Doctor from the University of Technology Sydney (2013). This diverse, transnational education equips him with a comprehensive legal perspective that seamlessly integrates international insights with Australian law.

His professional milestones reflect a steady rise in the legal field. Admitted as an Advocate to the Punjab Bar Council in 2006 and becoming a member of the Gujranwala District Bar Association in 2007, Stephen transitioned to the Australian legal system in 2014 as a practicing lawyer in New South Wales. He registered as an Australian Migration Agent in 2015, culminating in his admission as a Solicitor to the High Court of Australia in 2017.
